Swarovski In Blitz

As Christmas comes closer, we need special and unique home decorations and gifts. In Germany there is a tradition Hobby Künstler und Bastler Bazar (Creative Hobby and Art Fair), which made for this task. You will find homemade crafts from local artist or home-hobbiest. Home accessories, gifts, design-lifestyle articles, floristry, souvenirs, all regarding to Christmas and Holiday season.

This year I am joining such Fair again. It will take place in our primary school building. Yep...mostly visitors are kids, teenagers and their parents. Hmmm... what should I put on my table to take their attention and make good sale?

Heart Swarovski Pendant 18mm. In 4 colors... they are stunning, aren't they?

Rivoli stone 14mm. I saw that such simple pendants are In. Why don't I try to catch my customers with these bling... ;-)

Don't forget the Earrings!!!!! Heart swarovski 10mm as matching jewelry.

This necklace are made for 'adult' customers...if you know what I mean.. lol. Okay they are Rivoli 14mm as centre and Bicone 4mm and 8mm, or crystal pearls 8mm.

A selection of fashionable--and affordable--jewelry for teens (and adults) that's perfect for back to school or any other time. This jewelry should move easily from casual to dressy occasions. Swarovski in simple design is the answer!
Wish me luck and cash!!!! Oh if you can, come and visit me in Schwandorf, Nov 21st!

xx

Basic Tools for Beginner

Hi there,
as a beginner to wire jewelry making, you may be a little overwhelmed by the huge variety of tools available for jewelry makers. Many get a bit intimidated when it comes to the world of tools. Let me share what I know for basic tools.

- Round Nose Plier: good for bending and forming loops.
- Chain Nose Plier: use for opening and closing small loops, getting into tight space. Chain nose plier has NO teeth.
- Flush Cutters: before you buy, cut a piece of wire with them. Look at cut ends. A "flush cut", is one where the wire, after cut, is not left burred. You need a good flush cut for making proper jump rings, or for making any kind of chain from rings. The wire needs to have as flat a surface where you have just made the cut as possible.

- Wires: round, half-round, square. For some first project, I use round wire. It is easier, cheaper and available at mostly beads shops. It is size of the wires called wire-gauge. The smaller the number, the thicker the wire. You can watch complete size here http://www.wire-to-jewelry.com/wire-gauge-chart.html
Mostly we use 26ga, 22ga, 20ga and 16ga.

Look at bead-shop near you to find basic tools and wires. There are plenty online shop too. Like here:
www.firemountaingems.com
www.LimaBeads.com
www.riogrande.com
or other shop as Mr.Google guides you ;-)

Cabochon....

I love cabochon. Just like another jewelry maker, cabochon is like magic. With nature and warm colour, or strong and shiny colour, big and small... every piece of cabochon is magic!

So here they are... my cabochon collection! I worked with some of them and not have it by me anymore. Happy to give them new home. And I bought already some others, but can't find time to make picture.
Mostly my cabochon came from online shop.

Enjoy!!!!

I'm IN PRINT at Stepbystep Wire Jewelry Mag.

Look at the MASK!!! Yes ... MASK!!!! OMG... my Mask in print!!!! what a beautiful mask... lol
I made this mask some months ago. For challenge with wire lover's friends in FB. We had to make a piece based from picture. I got a Venedic mask picture. Took some weeks to pressed my idea out. Til I spent my last 4 days (before the dateline) making this mask. And you know what? This print means so much for me. Even I'm not alone in that page, but this is my FIRST! and it gives me sooooooooo good feeling...yay ;-)

I used 26ga gold plated wire. Drew the core on paper and bent my wire along it. The eyebrowns are 4mm metal beads and using technique from Riqzmie Creation. You can find it under 'Pegion Earing' at www.riqzmiecreation.com.
The hair is shiny brown and yellow cz squarebeads, black glass leaves, and big brown wood beads as the highlights!! Under eyes are 3 big brown leaves and 3 swirl wires.
Truly, it is heavy mask. So I got to twisted 3 20ga wires together as the handle.

I'm happy.... and thanks for being with me in this small world. Luv youuuuuu!

Viking Knit

Finally I made viking knit. This age old technique of weaving wire took my attention too much, as I saw my friends made it. So FABULOUS pieces....
Bought tutorial from JanRaven here www.jewelrylessons.com/tutorial/viking-knitting and started the long night, played with viking knit.

In the beginning I had to digging in my man's working room. Searched for vice. It is important tool for holding the wire as our hand are busy with knitting. Find out that it is useful too for taking care our not-yet-ready knit, if we leave it for short or long time. Some bead-store has this tool too. Mine is from hardware store.
Next is search for mandrel. Use Allen wrench...very cheap and good!
So I set up my table. Clamped the vice on table and was ready with work... ;-)

2 hours later...This is what I made. 10' wire became 2,5'' chain!!!!! Not very happy about it, but hey...I made viking knit and this is my first attempt. Let's celebrate it.... lol.

I made Viking-Fischy Bracelet... after 4 hours hooked and felt slowly sleepy :o)
Enjoy my Viking Knit journey.... thanks for coming!!

Artfire... ;-)

---------- Earrings from EmiKaz's tut ---------------
I dream of my own online shop. Ever tried one in Germany... not happy with it. And searched again..spending much time for reading every forum about that. Etsy, artfire, ebay, 1000markets,artfolk, dawanda, etc. Lol.... instead of finding out which is the best, I had headache!
But the show must go on... made up my mind: ARTFIRE! Yipiiieee!!!!!
Curious why I took it? okay..let me tell you some reasons.
1. Listing is free. And NO commissions paid out if I sell something. Yep, this is my first self-employed bussiness. I can't pay too much fee yet. Got to see how it develops and who knows... (wish me luck) :-)
2. I can upgrade my membership to Verified, means got to pay monthly fee but got more services and that's all fee I have to pay.
3. Artfire has article for comparing their service to Etsy, allowing me to understand how is the competition.
4. It is worldwide known, even Artfire has different way from Etsy.
5. This will be fabulous site and hope my shop goes very well!

Thanks for reading... Now got to find out how I put my Artfire in this blog. Oh you can see my shop if you clik this :

Need A Friend!

Whatever we are, wherever we are...a friend is always nice to have. This time I found out that a childhood friendship is easier to make than an adult friendship. Well, at least to my experience. This is like my up and down of friendship in last 10 years.
Since 2001 I live in Germany. Everything new, culture, people, language. I got to start search friend. 10 years are gone, I met many people. Too bad I find not a friend just like a best friend. Maybe I ask too much, can be I'm not a good friend to anyone else. But I learned to trust and share, learn to accept the friendship and as well as being a good friend myself. Who knows I find her/him, who accept my friendship, who trust me just who I am, and we share our life in bad and good time..... like a real BEST FRIEND!

A poem what I like, 'dance upon the wind' by Intimate Knight.

Only to vanish once more, just like all my yesterdays.
Until chance comes again, I'll let my thoughts dance upon the wind.
I don't know where I'm going, and where I've been isn't much to speak of.
I just know my heart is always showing, leading me to some far off love.

Just when I give up the fight.
Here it comes to make the bad things good, and the wrong things right.
Only to leave me lost and lonely again.
Drifting away as my thoughts dance upon the wind.

It has a name, I think they call it friend.

I Love Flowers!!!

Even I have no flowers inside house, I try to have them in my daily life.

This one I let my hands work. Never know where it should go, suddenly I have flowers. Beads are red coral.

And for the grey tiny flower, I got help from KSJewelry. She has perfect tutorial for flower making.
Thanks for looking.... Happy Sunday!

Some new *Creature* ;-)

Wow.... Mask!!!! Yup this is for a challenge between FB friends. We gave fotos as inspiration, I got a Venedig Mask photo...and this is what I made. I love this!! hahahaha proud of myself.

I made this pendant to see if I can make such rich and glamour bollwood style. I made it! yes I'm happy, but I guess it takes a while 'til I got order for it. :-( U know...much work means expensive. That's the reason...

Seashell Bracelet......... to match with the ring. Both are on the way to my friend now. Hope you enjoy them... Thanks dear friend!

Seashell Ring.... fun time to make and I already make 5 other rings! Made for match to the bracelet.

A heart for you all

A poem from Fiona Davidson

Maybe a little romance is needed
Lightening our days in all this grey
To place a smile on our faces

Give me romance to dazzle me
To make my heart sing out loud
And make me feel I'm alive

A heart for you all !

Gothic Necklace

Am Ende der Welt

It means 'IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE'. The story began last week. I tried to buy something from someone. Something old but I need it very much. I sent her emails... no answer. She is so far away, I even not know her face to face. 2 times I saw she put her 'story' online, but still no reply on my emails. Sad.... What I can do is waiting. With some colourful beads and chooper wire, trying to make my day brighter. Wish that everything will be better...with or without the thing!
I'm waiting...still........... :-(

My pictures are here, finally. For this week's theme 'Rich Man' wow wow.... isn't easy. My hubby will never ever use bracelet or necklace. The only one jewelry he use, is our wedding ring :-) Thanks God!
My bracelet this bracelet made from chooper 18ga and silver-coated 18ga. I twist the wire like I wanted. Have no idea what it will be...

Hope any 'Rich Man' would like to visit my blog and asking..if he can have my 'luxurious' bracelet for any price.... Hahahahahaha..... let's dream!

Flower in my garden

This is my second piece this month. Actually 'January Birthstone Garnet or Rose Quartz' is our theme, but neither Garnet nor Rose Quarz in my treasure. Have to think how I make my piece then. So took some colours of chrystal beads and played with them. Snowing outside, miss summer. It is my idea: FLOWER!
Bracelet made with red chrystal beads and copper wire. I tried 18ga wire as the frame and it's too wobbly. Need more strong wire, perhaps 16 ga?

Earrings parade.... red, green, yellow. Which one is the most beautiful?

Red Earrings. Simple and attractive. Even my neighbour order 2 pairs in blue and green. Yuhuuuuu.....

Here they are...1 set Flower Jewelry with Egyptian Coil and Briolette Flower (Eni's Tut), consist of Bracelet, Ring, Earrings.

Purple Swirly

Beginning January 2010. Snowy and cold... nice white outside. This is the 1st time I'm inside Year Of Jewelry 2010 challenges. So in a fever of excitement, let's say. But the show must go on...here I'm!
Purple Swirly isn't complicated. This is a fun and easy project, has tons of possibilities for customization. Yup...it is Egyptian Coil! This technic is something what I like this moment. Simple chain that requires very few tools.
I made this bracelet and earrings last week. I use 20ga Beadsmith silver plated and Glass beads...in purple :-) Get applaus from my hubby...hahahahaha He is my best fans, beside my children LOL.
Sorry for not good picture. I'll try to have better shot next time. Promise!
